Fourth Grade Field Trip Idea

After viewing the New Jersey Webquest in computer class, post a persuasive paragraph suggesting a place to visit in New Jersey with the fourth grade class.

Include a link to the tourist website if possible. Explain what you would learn by visiting the place you suggest. Are there any fees involved? Is there a best time of year to go on the trip? Why would this be a great class trip instead of a family trip?

4th Grade Field Trip

When Nicky Fifth's family takes their first vacation, they are near the Franklin Mineral Museum that we visited as a class. Do you think this is a place they would have enjoyed visiting? Why or why not? Try writing an imaginary visit for the family to the Franklin Mineral Museum.

Winter's a bummer . . . We need summer!

Nicky and his family had a blast at Island Beach State Park and Seaside Heights. Now it is your turn.
Write an advertisement for your favorite NJ beach (it does not have to be an ocean beach!). The advertisement should include the name of the beach, its water source (if other than the Atlantic), the activities available, and the "must-dos". Be sure to use rich, sensory words and vivid details in your advertisement. The goal is to convince the reader that your beach is the best!

P.S. If you have a picture of the beach or your trip there, you may bring it in so that we can include it with your post!

Flor-flor-Florida

You have to love the tune Emma sings:

Flor - flor - Florida,
I wish that I could go!
To see a princess and the mouse
and the big fish show!

Now it is your turn to write your own little diddy to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat.
It should be about your favorite place to visit.
You may want to make a list of rhyming words first and use brainstorming strategies to keep it short & snazzy!

Guilty or not guilty?

What causes someone to feel guilty?

Describe a time when you felt guilty. What made the feeling go away?

Unpacking the challenge

What is the biggest challenge for students who move to a new place?
